Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
This recipe was very good. I added a little more salt and sage to the mixture. The bread crumb mixture was more than enough for 4 pork chops. Next time I will use half the butter. The lemon zest was great. I was conservative with it, but would put the full amount in next time.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

We didn't like this very much. I think I put too much of the cheese mixture on the fish.

Creamy Bow-Tie Pasta with Chicken and Broccoli

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
This was just okay. The color of the sauce turned out to be dark orange and it was not appetizing looking and it wasn't the greatest tasting. If I was to make again, and not sure that I would, I would go very light with the pasta sauce, so as to try to keep a lighter color.

Left-Over Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
This was very good. I used my leftover turkey gravy, leftover green beans, corn and carrots. I did not add mushrooms - boyfriend doesn't like them. We thought may next time, we could add a little green bell pepper... just a thought.

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
This soup was very good. I used fat free half & half and it was fine. Next time I will use half the butter and add a little more salt and/or more chicken bouilllon. I added a tiny bit of tarragon too.

Sauceless Garden Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
This was tasty. I did not have Roma tomatoes, just regular from my garden. I added some ricotta cheese and I added extra mozzerella and I would add more of both next time. I also added a little chopped red bell pepper. It was a little watery, but it wasn't bothersome. I think this dish could be fine with any type of pasta. Just mix everything together and mix with cooked al dente pasta and cover with extra cheese and bake. My boyfriend doesn't like mushrooms, so I'll have to make it without next time.

Chicken Veggie Soup II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
This was very, very good. I did not have cauliflower, but it was just fine without it. I added alot of veggies and a little more chicken broth. I also added a little italian seasoning, plus oregano and basil. I only put in 4 drops of the hot sauce. I used tomatoes from my garden, but did not peel them, I just cut them up. I used two boneless chicken breasts.

Smokin' Scovilles Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
This was very good, but a little too hot for me and I like hot stuff. Next time I will add alot less of the hot pepper, omit the habanero and no hot sauce. I will try with only 1/2 of the seasoned salt next time, since there's alot of sodium in this recipe.

Kelsey's Favorite Stuffed Green Peppers

This was very good. I added some salsa and canned diced tomatoes to my own sauce. I used cheddar and mozzerella. I let all of that simmer for awhile, so the flavors melded.

Baked Haddock

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
This was very good. I used flounder and I used only 1/2 the salt. I forgot the butter on top, but it was still good. I cooked on a wire rack and it was perfectly cooked. Next time, I might add a little garlic powder.

Marinated Chicken Kabobs

This was very tasty, although next time I would reduce the oil. I used honey instead of the syrup and one clove of chopped garlic instead of the garlic powder.

Summerly Squash

This was very tasty. I added 1 garlic clove to the onion and I used fresh basil and I added a little more tomato. I would cut zucchini and squash into almost matchstick size next time, to cook it faster. I served over pasta. Fantastic!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

I used double the zucchini and used brown and white sugar. I am allergic to nuts, so no walnuts were used. Boyfriend just stated this is the best bread he's ever had. It's really more like cake. Yummy.

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
This was good. I was nervous, because it's different, but it turned out okay. I used chicken stock instead of water, added a little bit of cinnamon to the stuffing, used more cheese because I love it, and after stuffing and rolling the chicken, I seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper and a bit of garlic powder. I browned the chicken well. I also added cinnamon and brown sugar to the sauce. Boyfriend gave it a 4.2 on a scale of 1 to 5, so I'll be making this again. Also, I took meaty chicken breasts and pounded the heck out of them, so they were wide. This made them easier to stuff, roll and secure with toothpicks. I had almost none of the stuffing fall out .

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2010
This was very tasty. I took others' recommendations and doubled the oregano and basil. I used 28 oz of crushed tomatoes and added 6 cubes of boullion to heated water. I cooked on high in a crockpot for 5 hours, then turned it to low until we were ready to eat. Topping with parm cheese is such a great addition!
