I love to cook comfort food with a healthy twist. My husband and I love mediterranean and mexican food too! Our traditions are focused around the Holidays. We always eat Mexican food for Christmas Eve and Christmas is more traditional with Ham, Turkey and a million southern sides. For Thanksgiving, all of us girls meet in the kitchen and help prepare the meal. We stuff the turkey, build the sides, and mold the appetizers. Mom makes the best brown gravy I have ever had! Homemade Cheese Sauce- Took a while to master! I tried to recreate Mom's brown gravy when I was 12... Not sure what happened, but it tasted terrible and was nothing like Mamma's. I'm much better now, but still not quite there.
