About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Cupcakes, cookies, pies, any desserts are my type of food.
My cooking triumphs
Once, when I made brownies, I didn't have butter, so I substituted it with olive oil. On top of that, I didn't have a steel pan around so I used a casserole dish instead, but there wasn't enough batter to fill the dish, so I made little barrier walls with aluminum foil to keep the batter in place. I thought it would be a disaster but put it in the oven anyways, and they turned out to be the best brownies I'd ever tasted! Everyone loved them.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made meringue. I recall I never really got to the "soft peak" stage.

Robbi's M&M Cookies
I made these for my friend's birthday potluck and everyone loved them. I thought the cookies would be sweet without the m&ms so I only put in a half cup in the batter and pushed one or two candies into the cookies after they were dropped on the pan. The only problem I had with these cookies were that they spread out a lot more than I thought they would. In my second batch I piled the drops up higher and spaced the cookies out on the pan and I came out with much prettier looking cookies.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins
Yum! These muffins were moist and delicious. Even my mother, who usually doesn't care for muffins, enjoyed them! I didn't make the topping because I thought it would be too sweet for breakfast, and they were good enough without it. Following some of the reviews, I added about two more tablespoons of milk, doubled the cinnamon. I used one large apple instead of two, and cut into big chunks. I also filled the cups 3/4 way, and with the alterations, the recipe made 12 muffins.

Chewy Maple Cookies
Simply amazing! I had some concerns about the coconut flakes because I wasn't sure if it would go with the maple flavor, but it turns out I worried for no reason at all...I took them to a family get together last week, and everyone loved loved loved them!
