Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
I realized after I tried the recipe that you need to cut off the uneven ends and make the remaining rolls similar in size. I don't think anyone else mentioned this - that I saw anyway. If you don't, you will have 10 even rolls and 2 crazy rolls.

Three Bean Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
I am vegan, so I did not add the honey although I suppose I could have added sugar. I added a little extra onion because I like them and took others advice and only used 1/4 cup of vinegar. Also, I used garlic salt. Really good. You probably could use any bean.

Mock Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
Good recipe - I have been vegetarian a long time so I don't know what tuna tastes like but it seemed similar to what I would guess. I used light mayo and will put salt, pepper and powdered mustard next time. Celery may give it a crispier texture and would probably be good too.

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
It was really good, I can't imagine how good it would be if I actually had all the ingredients! I omitted/modified some stuff (like the carrots because I don't like them an veggie broth to make it vegetarian) and added some cayanne pepper to give it some heat. Very yummy!

Tomato Bacon Salad

Really good - I used iceburg lettuce because that was in my fridge. I used 1/2 the dressing and less onions because my husband doesn't like them. Great recipe.

Taco Salad I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
It was great - I gave it 5 stars because it is yummy, but with 846 calories I made many modifications. I took the advise of others and used some catalina (not the whole bottle) and didn't mix it in with the meat. I omitted the sour cream and beans, increased the lettuce, used 1/4 of the chips but I used doritoes like others suggested, and I used turkey for the meat. And because I didn't read it till just now, I forgot to add salsa. Oops :) Anyway great!

Brown Sugar Smokies

It was good as written. My husband also suggested making it with BBQ (Sweet Baby Ray's) which was tasty.

Toasted Garlic Bread

Good - not the best ever. I am not sure if it needs the olive oil? But the oregano was nice. I feel like it is missing something.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
It was great, but I also made some modifications. I added 1/2 cup extra cheese and put it under the chip topping. I also added 1/4 cup of milk so it wasn't dry. I cooked it in a casserole dish also. With these modifications it was a 5*.

Pennsylvania Coal Region Barbecue

My husband says it is better than Manwhich (and he is a huge fan of that). I used tomato sauce as recommended by another reviewer. Also I made about 1/4 extra of the sauce and cooked it a bit longer to let the flavors really set (in the 1/4 sauce batch I used a bit less sugar). Yum.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
I made it the way the recipe says (really great!) and then I made it a different way too. I pulled the skin off the wings and sprinkled cayenne pepper and pam over the wings. Then I baked them until they were done (it took a while, maybe 45 minutes at 350?). Then I brushed on the sauce. My husband prefers the baked method. Either way great recipe!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
I also used Cattleman's BBQ and it was great. I also placed it in the slow cooker and left it for 10 hours (overnight). I did the cooking it in the oven step, but I don't know how much difference that step makes. I used 1 1/2 bottles of the bbq sauce to make it more moist. Yum.

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
It was really good. I did add extra cheese - almost double. I used 4 oz of Velveeta and 1 1/2 cups of cheddar - I will use even more cheddar next time and probably make 2 times the bread crumbs.

Really yummy - I followed the recipe as posted. It could have had less bread crumbs but it was really good.

Mini Eggplant Pizzettes

This was really good. I used no fat/no calorie cooking spray in place of the oil and did not use the bacon - and it was still very tasty.

Spiral Pasta Salad

Brought it to a Christmas party and everyone loved it. I doubled the recipe because of the number of people and it turned out great. You could use other veggies like cucumber or broccoli if you are like me and dislike carrots and celery.

It is good but the others are right, cut the oil and butter 1/2 otherwise it is too greasy.
