Turkey Bow Tie Skillet

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
Delicious with these changes- ground spicy sausage rather than turkey( pour out grease when cooked ), More garlic cloves, red pepper too, no celery, no onion, strained diced tomatoes and about 4 cups of broth. (Just strain out the excess once pasta is cooked). I never tried the recipe as it was, I'm sure it would be good too, but ground sausage is way more flavourful so we enjoyed this version.

Maple Plank-Grilled Italian Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
This turned out great but I didnt follow the recipe to a tee. I didnt have a maple plank so i used the oven. I used italian flavoured breadcrumbs rather then croutons, and i only had 2 big porkchops so i cut slits in them and stuffed the sauce in there and smeared the remainder on top. I definately think that there is way too much broth in the recipe. i only used about half a cup or so. My toddler liked this too. She said 'delicious!'

Easy Texas Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
I used ground sausage rather then ground beef (one pack mild, one pack hot) and changed the green pepper to an orange one for a bit of sweetness. I took out the hot peppers and added a few teaspoons of chili powder. This made a sweeter chili that is just the right heat for younger ones. Good recipe :)

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
I doubled the recipe and there was enough liquid to last til the orzo was done. I didn't let it boil for very long though, and when i turned it down low i really turned it down, so maybe this is why the liquid lasted? It turned out great, i added mushrooms to it as well.

Shrimp Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
I had to add a bit more soy sauce and ginger at the end to save it from being bland. Good start to a good recipe. Sauce worked out well, this is easy to make :)

Lemony Caesar Salad

Very easy to make and very good. Made a few alterations (not cuz it needed it just cuz thats what I had). Halfed the olive oil and used garlic powder rather than fresh. Really good. Thanks for recipe :)

Pecan Dijon Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
I really liked this recipe. It was very easy and quick. I followed it pretty acurately and the only thing I needed to change was to allow for about 10 more minutes in the oven. On the downside I found it to be a bit too rich, but thats to be expected due to the ingredients. Still very good anyways, thank you!

Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
I used a small jar of butterscotch sauce instead of chips thinking it would work out the same. IT DIDN'T!!! I cant get the cookies off of the pan! Next time I will use the chips.. On the other hand the dough was very tasty so I give this recipe a good rating.

Baked Lamb Chops

I didnt have breadcrumbs on hand so I used crushed up maple flavoured shredded wheat cereal. (Weird I know) But it turned out delicious! This is the only way I make lamb now :)

Four Cheese Macaroni

It tasted good but was very rich and greasy. I did add tuna to it the next day for lunch though and this seemed to make it better. Probably wont make it again.

Tuna Curry in a Hurry

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
This recipe is really good. I did change it a bit by adding a yellow pepper rather then green and did not have any curry on hand so i put in paprika and cayenne. It was still delicious. Very easy too. Yum!

Green Olive Chicken I

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
I was very skeptical of this recipe the whole way through but the end result was yummy and tender. I ommitted the onion and accidently added the whole jar of olives but it still tasted great! The brine from the olives gives a nice salty taste. I didnt give it a 5 just because I wasnt too impressed with the finished look of it but it tasted pretty good.
