Unbelievable Chicken

This was pretty good, but it's really nothing special and really the flavor wasn't as strong as I would've liked. I marinated for about 10 hours, but if I make it again will try it over night. Good marinade, but nothing special.

GrannyLin's Barbeque Ribs Made Easy

Made these twice now & the first time followed the recipe exactly. Broiled 5 minutes on each side. The second time I made them I added a little more spice...made a rub of dried ground mustard, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt & pepper, and brown sugar and rubbed onto the ribs before broiling. This is a good recipe as is, but really is a good base recipe to make your own.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

These were sooo delicious! I did not read any of the reviews before I made them and I'm glad I didn't. Followed the recipe exactly except that I only had 1 c. of heavy cream on hand, so just put 1/2 c. on each layer, otherwise changed nothing. Baked for an hour and they were done fine, except for a few potatoes that I didn't cut very thin, but that was my fault. I was really surprised to read some of the bad reviews for this. I would definitely reccommend trying these and I know I will be making them again and again.

Cranberry Sauce I

Good, basic cranberry sauce. All of my Thanksgiving guests really enjoyed it and were impressed that I served real cranberry instead of the canned stuff! This was so simple to make...almost as easy as opening a can!

Creamy Sourdough Snack

this is sooo good! Served it as an appetizer for Thanksgiving and everyone gobbled it up...we almost didn't have room for dinner! Served with the sourdough bread, cut up, as well as crackers, chips & veggies....went great with everything but tasted best with the pieces of bread. Also, reheated this the next day by following some other reviewers suggestion of wrapping the entire thing in foil and placing in the oven. Put it in cold at 425 for 25-30 minutes. Delicious!

Sugar Cookie Icing

This is getting a 5 for the flavor, tasted so good and added just the right touch to my sugar cookies. As far as preparing the recipe, I had a little bit of trouble with my first batch because there was just not enough milk. The recipe says to add more corn syrup if it is too thick, but that really didn't help. The second batch I made, I added about 3 tsp. of milk & 3 tsp. corn syrup. It was the perfect consistancy for decorating my cookies!!!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

This was my first time making sugar cookies. I thought they were pretty good, I was glad they didn't get rock hard like some sugar cookies I've tasted. They were easy to roll and cut and tasted good too.

Baked Ziti I

This was one of the best ziti dishes I've ever had. Made it for a party and got rave reviews. Followed recipe exactly, except omitted the beef (don't like meat in my ziti) & added a little bit of minced garlic (can't make an Italian dish without garlic!). I was worried it wouldn't have a lot of flavor since the recipe doesn't call for any seasoning, but it had a wonderful flavor. This is going to be my "go to" recipe for baked ziti from now on!

Dill Vegetable Dip

This was a good recipe. It is nothing special from dill dip you might buy at the store, but it really came in handy this weekend when I forgot to buy dip for a party and found this recipe, which has basic ingredients that I usually have on hand. I will definitely make this again.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

I thought this was a really good recipe, especially if you are making pot roast for the first time like me. I think this is a good starting point for me so I can play around with different spices, etc. Wasn't too happy with the vegetables, but you can definitely make the pot roast without them and make another side to go with it. I also made the juice into a gravy, but really it would have been delicious as is.

Herbed Batter Rolls

I would give these a 3.5 if I could. They had good flavor and were super easy, but the texture was a little strange for a dinner roll. Good base recipe...you can definitely change this one around to suit your own tastes and if you're looking for something quick this is it.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

This has become one of my favorite ways to make chicken. Be careful with the last step of drizzling the remaining butter over the chicken, because it can become a bit greasy! But it is still delicious!

Marinated Ranch Broiled Chicken

This was absolutely delicious!!! At first, I really didn't think it was going to be enough to add flavor to the chicken, but it came out perfect! This is going to be a regular in our house. Grilled these instead of broiled, but I'm sure you can't go wrong with this one.

This was delicious! My husband said this was the best steak I have ever made. I even enjoyed it as leftovers a few days later...and I RARELY EVER eat leftover meat! I definitely recommend trying this recipe, it is soooo good!

Zucchini Bread IV

Followed the recipe exact! Tasted great & everyone else who tried it agreed! Update: A few weeks after I originally made this I was given another zucchini. I decided to make more zucchini bread, but tried another recipe from this site that had over 1000 reviews and was rated 5 stars....well, I was really disappointed with it and wish I had used this recipe again. Zucchini Bread IV is definitely the best out there! I am not sure what makes it so different from the others, but it just is! Try it, you'll see!
