About this Cook
I say that I'm still learning to cook, although I have been cooking for years. I have just now started trying out new things and stepping away from the comfort of mom's cooking.
My favorite things to cook
So far I'm loving everything. I seem to have a small knack for cooking. Thus far I have not really made anything that my family has not liked to some extent.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm trying to start making decorated sugar cookies for every holiday. I remember doing that at Christmas time with my grandmother and want that for my son.
My cooking triumphs
I finally got one of these!! My cheesecake turned out so much better than I thought that it would. It had a few air holes in the top of it, but other than that, no cracks, and it tasted great!
My cooking tragedies
Slightly burning things.

Creamy Ranch Pork Chops and Rice
In a house of 6 it is very hard to find things that someone does not fuss about. Well I found something in this. Everyone in the house loved it! My family told me that this is going to be a keeper recipe. I did cook regular rice and put some of the ranch packet in the rice, not to mention if you are going to use the sauce as a "gravy" you may want to double the recipe.
