Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This turned out great!! I cut the recipe in half and made two pie plates, one spicey, one not. For the spicey one, I mixed 1/2 can green chillies with 1/2 the taco seasoning into the beans and spread in the bottom of the pie plate, mixed the cream cheese and sour cream, 1/2 the taco seasoning, 1/2 can green chillies and spread that on the bean layer, spread the salsa next, layered cheddar cheese and jalapeno monerey jack, then diced green onions and diced tomatoes, sliced olives and diced sliced jalapeno pepper. Baked in oven at 350 for 30 minutes and served with toasted baugette slices and assorted crackers. It was a huge hit!! Thanks for sharing your recipe!!

This was AMAZING!! I used the 1/2 mayo (fat free) 1/2 sour cream (fat free) combo, added some chopped garlic, 2 cans crab meat, and used light cheddar cheese, and the jalapenos, parmesan cheese, green chillies...baked in a little casserole dish for 30 minutes, served bubbling and hot with olive oil brushed and toasted baguette slices and assorted crackers. It vanished in record time!! Thanks for sharing your recipe Happywife!!

Becca's Bruschetta

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
This turned out excellent! I mixed the ingredients together (omitted the olives, used extra basil, seeded the tomatoes, only used half the feta called for) and added some salt and pepper. I let it meld together for several hours. Ran out of time to bake individually, so served it cold along with olive oil brushed and toasted french baguette slices. Everyone raved!! Thanks for sharing your recipe!

These were a hit!! I did make some changes to suit our tastes as follows...I added to the cooked sausage some garlic powder, basil, cayenne pepper, celery seed, bacon bits, diced red and green peppers and a little parmesan cheese. Removed from heat and added cream cheese. Filled the halved peppers and sprinkled with parmesan prior to baking. They were awesome!!

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
This is a great dessert!! Used one can Low fat Sweetened condensed milk(Canadian can=a little over 10 oz), sugar free caramel topping (I just combined the two and stirred), toffee bits, mini chipits, and fat free whipped topping. Wow!! So good!! Very moist, next time, there will be a next time, I will reduce the number of eggs in the cake when I make it. Thanks for sharing your recipe!! UPDATE: Made again and everyone loved it!! Used one less egg (used 2 this time, and cake had more structure, less soggy)!!

Caraway Rye Bread

Great bread!! Made the dough in my bread machine. I doubled the caraway seeds, (I like them), added 1 Tbsp vital wheat gluten as I wanted a softer less dense bread, brushed the top with egg and sprinkled with more caraway seeds. Thanks for sharing your recipe!!
