About this Cook
It has been brought to my attention that my "info" is a little sparse..so I am adding a little info for the readers out there!!
My favorite things to cook
Food.. All kinds of food... Leaning towards the realm of healthy stuff..
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making something edible.. Seriously now...In the summer my Grandmother (Grammie) always put a little fresh mint into the peas before she cooked them, I do that too.
My cooking triumphs
Successfully making something edible...which sometimes is a challenge as I do a lot of "winging it" type cooking too, taking recipes and adapting them to "healthyish" and to my family's tastes..and just being creative sometimes..which leads to the cooking tragedies section...
My cooking tragedies
Started at an early age...so there are number, but lets not dwell on those...one does come to mind though, made a spicy chicken breast and my Hasbeen (hubby) asked me if I was trying to poision him...I looked him straight in the eye and said "If I was trying to poision you, I would have done it a long time ago". He hasn't complained much since...

Curried Honey Mustard Chicken
This turned out great! I used 3 large bone in breasts and marinated for several hours in a bag, then dumped marinade and chicken into and 8 X 8 dish, covered with foil and baked 30 minutes, uncovered and baked another 30 minutes. Will be making again, thanks for sharing your recipe!

Basic Chicken Stock
This turned out amazing!! I used some frozen chicken carcasses, added bayleaf, garlic, and some peppercorns, simmered for several hours...strained...refrigerated....once cooled..skimmed fat...and froze in ice cube trays (4 full cubes = 1/4 cup {approx}) keep in freezer bag ready to use....soooo much better than store bought!!
