About this Cook
I am a 41 year old married woman and mother of three of the greatest kids ever. My husband is pretty special too. I am also a very devoted full time social worker, and my passion is helping others. We are a very busy family and it takes a lot of effort to get everyone at the dinner table at once. My hope with this site is to find quick, healthy, but delicious meals for my family to enjoy.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake goodies and also enjoy cooking in the wok. Since work full time in addition to being a full time wife and mom, I use the crock pot to help with meals quite a bit. My husband is also learning to cook, since I have gone back to work. He loves to grill for the family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I coming home from work and the kids from school, and each of us cooking together in the kitchen. This is a great way to fit in quality family time and to strike up conversation with my teen-aged son. Christmas morning, my husband and I get up very early, before the kids wake up and cook a huge breakfast. We enjoy it before going in to see all the neat stuff Santa brought and exchanging our gifts. After that, we head to the kitchen, where each family member fixes a dish of their choice for our Christmas feast. What a great time.
