About this Cook
The only thing I own right now that I can cook anything in is a wok. It's been a great exercise in creativity to see what I can do with it, from curry to cider. That said, it's not much good when I decide I want to bake...
My favorite things to cook
I'm really starting to love baking. Making pies for Thanksgiving was fun and so rewarding.
My cooking triumphs
French onion soup, the Swedish apple pie, pumpkin pie, and spiced cider have been my biggest hits with the people I cook with.
My cooking tragedies
None yet, knock on wood. It'll be a horrible day, but so far I haven't been very adventurous, so it's been less likely.

Beer Bread I
Absolutely delicious - it tasted a little bit like a pretzel when made with Abita Amber.

Quiche Lorraine I
This is a great base quiche to expand upon - we left out the cheese and added some fresh spinach to make a lighter (albeit totally inauthentic) version that even non-quiche lovers enjoyed.

Easy Swedish Apple Pie
All around great pie for a college student with limited cooking supplies/resources/experience. I have replaced some of the flour with oats when I have them on hand with a fair bit of success.
