I work with adolescents in groups homes so I use alot of recipes to teach them how to cook. I spent alot of time with the kids so this site is a great refrence for me.
My favorite things to cook
Just about anything. Most favorites probably would be breads, pies, and ethnic foods, kind of a current intrest right now.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Good 'ol home cooking. I grew up on a farm and my grandparents lived through the end of the depression so alot of cooking is simple and homemade.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinner 2007 for the staff and kids I work with: 4 pumpkin pies, 2 sweet potato pies, turkey, dressing, candy yams, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, squash casserole, homemade yeast bread.
My cooking tragedies
I've burnt my share of foods, scorched sauces and creams, had containers of seasonings dump in the dish, lol I guess no real major delimmas but I guess we all burn a few things to learn how to cook.
