About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
All the things I love to eat...Steak, Pork Chops, Shrimp Scampi, Stuffed Shells, Lasagna, Chicken, all kinds of stuff.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year my mom has made Christmas Cookies, and given them to all of our friends and neighbors. I think I may actually give it a shot myself this year.
My cooking triumphs
Recently, for the first time ever I made a whole roasted chicken. It actually turned out quite well! It was so moist that I may make a whole turkey this year, too.
My cooking tragedies
I have overcooked several very expensive pieces of meat. It happens to me occasionally. I've become a pretty good cook, but for some reason, occasionally my mind just wanders and then I look in the oven and dinner is charred and crispy.

Grilled Marinated Shrimp
I thought it was very good, but too salty! I will definitely make again, but I will leave out the salt.

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting
This is the same recipe that my paternal grandmom passed down to my dad, and he taught my mom. It's more like a jumping off point than a recipe. You start with those ingredients then add more till you have the right taste and right amount of frosting. Works great every time!

Alfredo Sauce
WOW. I have been dying to make a restaurant quality Alfredo sauce for so long, and this is DEFINITELY it!I sauteed some shrimp in a separate pan in some olive oil with some garlic, and then put the shrimp on top of the pasta and poured the sauce over it. I made sure to not pour the pan full of shrimp and broth over it, I forked out the shrimp and placed them onto the pasta. This avoids the fishy taste. It was fantastic.
