About this Cook
I'm just a girl who loves to cook. Love to cook for people. Best feeling to make something absolutely delicious that people just enjoy. Went to culinary school for a little bit and talked to many people in the business, and realized that that type of environment just wasn't for me.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken Curry. Kneflas, knefla soup. Rosemary garlic chicken and angel hair pasta. Sea Chowder. Spaghetti and lasagna
My favorite family cooking traditions
Kneflas. Fried German dumplings.
My cooking triumphs
Maybe just perfecting my tomato sauce.
My cooking tragedies
Only the one time I was making cookies and my husband wanted me to use cocoa instead of something to make them a little less fatty or something and they were horrible, didn't get a one out of the batch. They cooked horribly and burned VERY easily. That's the only thing I can think of that turned out just bad that I've ever cooked. Maybe the Flan in 10th grade. I had to make it twice, but I think that was more the Flan than me =)

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I
They turned out great.. just soft and chewy enough, not hard as a rock.. Didn't have quite enough brown sugar, so added little extra regular sugar.. added some vanilla, baked at 350 for about 14 minutes.

Leek Potato Mushroom Cheddar Soup
Using this and a recipe I had in a book from Culinary school, I didn't use any of the fat, sliced the leeks thinly, diced the potatoes and didn't mash them, didn't use mustard, and added shrimp at the end. We make it all the time.

Easy Spiced Brown Rice With Corn
I did not have Cilantro, so I just put a little parsley in it. I also cut up an onion and threw it in there as well. I used ground Cumin.
