Ever since I'e been a little girl, I have always wanted to be a chef. However, it wasn't until I entered high school that I considered it as my career. For my sophomore year of school, I transfered to Denver School of the Arts, as a violin major. I quickly discovered that there was a university literally 20 feet away, and soon after that I realized that is was, infact, Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute! My friends and I would often have lunch there, and as I became more and more familiar with the cooking, I sent out for some info about the school, and after some research and field work, I had decided... I was going to be a chef.
My favorite things to cook
Tomato Bisque, Hummus, Linguine... I love rich soups and anything Italian : )
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas my mom and I get up extra early and make a fresh batch of monkey bread. We've been doing it since my brothers were born, and it gets better every year!
