I personally had the urge to add more onion and I just had to add garlic. I couldn't see adding the corn as I'm not very much of a corn lover. It's a great recipe.

I happened to have all the ingredients and made them to go with a dinner I was giving for my aunt and cousin. Well, they went over BIG!! I had enough to give another cousin and her daughter. We really enjoyed this EASY recipe. Hardest thing is peeling the apples!

BACK IN THE '60'S, THE THING WE DID WAS ADD THESE SAME INGREDIENTS (EXCEPT I LOVE TO STUFF MY ROAST WITH GARLIC), AND WRAP IN IN HEAVY DUTY FOIL. I DON'T THINK SLOW COOKERS WERE INVENTED YET. HA! HA!
