I love to cook. I love hosting big parties, the more the merrier!! My family is very picky, if it is meat one kid doesn't like it but my DH and oldest love it. I can't keep fruits and veggies in the house for more than a few days with my little one, not that I am complaining. I also love to crochet. Cooking and crocheting are definately my passions right now, and of course my family!!
My favorite things to cook
That is a tough one. I guess pies, I love to bake pies. I have a great recipe for a pie crust. Well, I guess it could be used for other things too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have boys who really aren't into cooking. I guess, I take the help when they want to give it. I do enjoy watching my 9 year old try to roll out pie crust. That's kind of fun.
My cooking triumphs
Make my first ever Lemon Meringue pie. My DH loves this pie and my MIL was the only one who ever made it for him.
My cooking tragedies
Cookies. I couldn't ever bake cookies. I would follow the recipe, and they just wouldn't turn out. I don't know what happened, maybe God saw my frustration and decided to bless me with a cookie baking ability, but now I can make a mean choc. chip cookie!!

Fresh Strawberry Pie III
I love to bake pies and this one is definately a keeper, the only thing I did diferently, and I could probably have done without, is I added one more tbls of jello. This is a great light pie!! Thanks for the recipe!!

Best Ever Pie Crust
This is the only pie recipe I have ever used. It is not only easy, but it is hard to mess up. I have had this recipe for over 20 years, and no matter what I make, pie, pizza crust or whatever calls for a great crust, I use this recipe. It is the best and easiest pie crust ever.

Lemon Meringue Pie III
I really enjoyed making this pie. My husband said it was even better after a sitting a few days. The only suggestion I have, is for people to make sure not to take the water/sugar mixture off the stove until it is completely mixed with the corn starch/water mixture. I had to start over because I got lumps. Oh and stir, stir, stir. Otherwise, it is a great and easy recipe!!
