Donna's Sherry Wine Cake
I was a bit surprised at how "strong" the sherry flavor was. I love the taste of sherry, but this was way too much for the cake. Then I spoke with a friend who has the same "exact" recipe with one exception.....1 pkg of instant vanilla pudding. I followed the recipe again, but this time I added the pudding, and boy did that make all the difference in the world. It was even more moist and velvety smoothe! I suggest amending the recipe to incorporate the package of instant pudding!

I have to say this is probably one of the worst tasting meals I have had in a long time. I threw the entire casserole in the trash after I tried it.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham
Good recipe. However, I too reduced the amount of potatoes to 4 lbs. But in doing so, I think that it makes the dish a bit too salty. Canned soup is already salty, plus the ham, and then it calls for salt. I would suggest not adding any extra salt to this recipe and just stick with seasoning it with pepper. I would also like to try not adding the stick of butter to the recipe - I don't think it would do anything to the integrity of the cream mixture if it were omitted.
