About this Cook
I live in Virginia with my husband and 2 year old son. My husband an I are both software engineers. I am a voracious reader and like to take long walks. I was introduced to cooking by my grandmother and it became a passion since then. I started cooking since I was 13 and never looked back.
My favorite things to cook
Anything vegetarian and anything that my husband and son like to eat. I am all for quick to make recipes, with common ingredients. I like to try out challenging recipes to test my culinary skills. I like to cook spicy dishes for my family (they are all big fans of spicy food).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Friday nights I make something that my husband likes to munch on while watching TV. We generally skip dinner and just live on appetizers while relaxing.
My cooking triumphs
I am "bake challenged" as my friends call me. So, whenever I bake something successfully, that is a big triumph for me.
My cooking tragedies
One day I decided I want to make chocolate cake from scratch. Well, that day I knew I had a tremendous talent to make a chocolate cake that tastes so bad, you never want to eat chocolate anymore.

Connie's Zucchini 'Crab' Cakes
Soooooooooooo good. I had some zucchini and yellow squash so I used both in this recipe. I also put in some paprika ( I like everything spicy). It turned out very tasty. My two year old son gobbled it down in minutes. This recipe is a definite keeper.

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties
This recipe is excellent. It is very easy to make. I made it many times for parties/potlucks and everybody just loved it. It is gone before any other dish. Everytime I made this recipe, I made the spread the night before and assembled it an hour before serving. Thanks for a wondeful recipe.

Gaye's Microwave Fudge
This is the easiest and fastest fudge recipe I have ever seen. I made this first time today and feel in love with it. I am surprised by the complaints some people have with this recipe. I followed the recipe as is and the fudge came out perfect. I heated the milk and butter separately and then mixed in to the cocoa mixture. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.
