My name is Taylor and I live in Issaquah wa and I love to cook just like the rest of you. Growning up in a family with three brothers and a sister my mom was an amazing cook. When my siblings had to do chores like trash and vacuming, my chore was to help my mother and be a prep cook. I think I got the best chore.
My favorite things to cook
I come frome Scandinavian descent, Danish actually and I love seafood. Pickled herring ,ceviche, talapia to name a few. I like baking sweets with my mom, but Grilling and bar-b-qing and sauteing is my general focus.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year at christmas my mom makes dungenes crab broccoli cheese soup. Its amazing. I should post the recipe up 'cause once you try it will be a family tradition for you as well!
My cooking triumphs
One dish I made, I basted an all natural pork tenderloin in garlic olive oil. Then sprinkled dried parsley, basil, garlic and good old Johnnies seasonin salt all over it. I baked it slow at 325 for one hour and then turned it from BAKE to BROIL. I then Broiled it for 12 minutes until was crispy brown on the outside. By broiling it, it locked in all the all the juices and the oil crisped the outside while the center was like butter. Let me tell you it was hands down the best tasting meat I have ever eaten. And the best part is, I made it and it wasnt hard. Feels rewarding when you make something really good by yourself!:]
My cooking tragedies
Don't get me started on this one!!!
