The hubby and I both liked it. I just added taco seasoning and more cheese. Quite tasty! Will make again.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
I felt like this took forever to make (it was my first time making my own frosting, so I was comparing it to opening a can of fake stuff), and I had to add the milk earlier than the recipe called for because my mixer was practically crying, but man, did I love this frosting. I would seriously eat it plain if I didn't feel like it would make me a worse human being. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Terrific! I added extra chocolate chips and substituted milk for yogurt (didn't have any), and they were fantastic. I'll definitely make them again.

Hockey Pucks

Everyone liked these! I used low sodium Ritz crackers and thought they were perfect. The only problem was coating the sandwiches in chocolate - it took FOREVER. But it's worth it, and I'll definitely make them again.

Easy Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
I found this to be WAYYYY too strong, even after I put it in a tall glass with tons of ice and milk AND adding a healthy portion of chocolate syrup (and whipped cream, of course). I think I'll make it with one teaspoon - or even half of a teaspoon - next time. It is handy to have a quick iced coffee recipe that doesn't require a blender. Thanks!

Shrimp Durango

My grandmother and I very much enjoyed this recipe. I added the 2 cloves of garlic, as suggested by other reviewers, and would not want to make it without them. I'll definitely make this again! It was easy and tasty.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
SO good! Although it's funny - I wasn't crazy about them right out of the oven, but when I ate some the next day, I nearly swooned. Oh, and I also added two semi-sweet chocolate chips to the center of each ball of dough, then topped each finished cookie with two more chocolate chips, which kind of made them look like round ghost cookies. Delicious!

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
I thought this was quite tasty, but not fall-over-myself delicious. I'll definitely make it again, but I'll also be sure to have enough mozzarella so I don't have to substitute cheddar (although that's not the reason for only four stars, it's just a heads-up that the cheddar tastes a little funky with this recipe).

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
I thought this dip was only okay, but several people at the baby shower raved about it. I think I would prefer it if I didn't follow the advice of using strawberry cream cheese; I thought it made it taste fake and sickeningly sweet. I think I'll try it again, but with plain cream cheese. But hey, four stars for making me look good at the party. : ) UPDATE: I tried this again with plain cream cheese (still with a splash of OJ), and it is FANTASTIC. It's SO much better than with the strawberry! Thanks for the recipe!

Roasted Cajun Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
I tried these on three friends tonight, and we all loved them. They were spicy without being overwhelming and really easy to make. I had to keep them in the oven longer than the recipe called for, but I'm not sure how long it ended up being because we had to adjust the oven temp for the chicken. I'll definitely make this often. Thank you!

Simple Grilled Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
This marinade had a particular tang that I didn't care for. To be fair, I am pregnant, so maybe that had something to do with my intense dislike. I also had to broil the lamb much longer than the recipe stated before it was anywhere near edible. All in all, I was pretty disappointed and probably would not make it again, but I gave it 3 stars to give it the benefit of the (pregnancy) doubt.

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
I had never baked (or eaten) scones before, so I didn't know what to expect. I would describe these as incredibly dense, orange-flavored chocolate chip cookies that, for some reason, remind me of Christmas. Other than cutting in the butter (which took forever), they were easy to make. I did add more orange juice, as recommended, and also about 1/4 c. of extra chocolate chips. The only problem I had was figuring out when they were cooked; I had assumed they would turn golden brown, like cookies, but they don't! I left my first batch in too long and the bottoms burned. Other than that, I loved the recipe and will definitely make these again. Thanks!

Easy Ice Cream Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
These were delicious and actually quite simple. Just make sure your ice cream isn't too soupy while you're forming the sandwiches or you'll have a mess on your hands. I've made these twice now and had great reviews both times. I'll definitely make them again. Thanks!

Broiled Herb Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
I really liked the herbed butter, but for some reason it didn't make the chicken taste all that spectacular. I think it would be better if the chicken marinated in it. I put some of the butter mixture on mashed potatoes, which I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Banana Chocolate Chip Dessert

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
Tasty! I recommend adding way more chocolate chips - 1 1/2 cups didn't seem enough to me (for a 9x13" pan); I think I might do 2 cups next time. Then again, I'm a chocoholic and wanted to disguise the taste of banana. My husband and I gobbled these up quickly. Yum!

Spicy Honey Mustard Pork Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
Delicious! I followed the advice of reducing the black pepper (to 1 Tbsp), and I'm glad I did. It was REALLY spicy. I might even go down to 2 tsp next time. But, that aside, this was still terrific! My husband was wowed and thought I'd worked so hard on it - nope! It's incredibly easy, so I'll definitely be making it again. Thank you!

Basic Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
I'm rating this on what I think it could be, not what it was. I used a 24-oz. jar of spaghetti sauce and it was still very dry - kind of like "hot lunch" spaghetti in elementary school. Next time I would want to either add more sauce or less pasta (like maybe 1/2 - 3/4 of a lb.). I also added chopped onion and garlic to the ground beef before adding the sauce, which made it quite yummy, and added a bunch of spices to "doctor" the jar of sauce. All in all, with these changes, this is a meal I'll definitely be making again.
