My husband and I are recently retired from teaching. I really don't do much cooking on a daily basis, but we do entertain family for holidays, birthdays, etc. We have 3 grown daughters and 2 of them have 2 young children each. Though they live out of town, they are still in state, about 1-2 hours away, so we visit often! Something I can put in the crock pot; specialty appetizers; cookies on occasion I come from a family of non-cookers! I actually had a (very small) cookie decorating business at one time in my home, started after getting raves about my cut-out cookies after bake sales, birthdays, holidays, etc. I pulled a foil pan of lasagna out of the oven. The pan folded in half as I carried it (should have put it on a cookie sheet!) and our party lasagna landed all over the kitchen floor, on carpet, and on walls! Luckily, there was another pan in the oven, and I learned my lesson!
