About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas are very big in my family. All the girls (my mom, sister, our daughters and I) always get together and do our holiday baking. We make cookies and candies and put in pretty tins. We make enough for everyone in our family and plenty to give as gifts. We have been doing this for years and hope our children will carry on the tradition.

The Best Meatloaf
I wanted to try something different. Hubby liked it OK, but was not thrilled. I just did not care for this at all. I make mine with italian bread crumbs, sauted bell pepper and onion, italian stewed tomatoes and little tomato sauce. I also put a little tomato sauce mixed with some brown sugar on the top. (yummy) I will not be making with again. I will just stick with my recipe. Thanks for the recipe. It is always fun to try something.

Quick and Easy Pimento Cheese
Loved this recipe. Only changes I made were...only used 1 jar pimentos and added 2 chopped boiled eggs. I am born and raised in the south and believe me I would not use Mayo in this recipe. YUCK I actually don't know anyone who actually uses Mayo. lol I just served on saltine crackers and everyone loved it

Husband's Delight
I only gave this recipe a 4 because of the changes. I have been making a similar recipe for years. I mix the sour cream and cream cheese with chopped green onions. Then I cook small elbow macaroni (seems to mix in better) and stir it into the cream cheese mixture and put in the bottom of a greased casserole. I then brown the ground beef and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Drain and add tomato sauce and sugar. Pour that mixture over the noodles and top with cheddar cheese and cook in oven until heated and cheese is slightly brown. (YUMMY)
