About this Cook
I am a mother to a wonderful 5-year-old little boy, and a graduate student studying school psychology. I enjoy cooking because I enjoy eating good foods, and I enjoy baking to relax and satisfy my sweet tooth.
My favorite things to cook
Stir-fry anything, and slow-cooker dishes when I'm gone at school all day. Salmon is a big favorite in our household, we like it baked in foil or cooked stove-top.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making cookies with my son around Christmastime and delicious treats to share on any holiday.
My cooking triumphs
I'm still a beginner so I haven't made or created anything amazing yet! A white-chocolate raspberry cheesecake I made for Christmas one year is probably the most complex dish I've accomplished.
My cooking tragedies
Despite my love of baking and baked goods, things never seem to come out as tasty as I'd hoped. I'm enjoying practicing though!

Mall Pretzels
So delicious and so simple. Used bread flour for all required flour, still turned out great. These were gone the first day! Will make again.

Valentino's Pizza Crust
Delicious, quick, & easy. This recipe is similar to the "Quick & Easy Pizza Crust" recipe on this website, but the texture and taste were a bit better. We'll be using this one from now on.

Groovy Green Smoothie
This was great- I told my son I had a "green slimy smoothie" for him and he was sold. I used watermelon (about 4 slices) instead of the apple, tasted and looked great! Also made great popsicles when frozen in a popsicle mold.
