Chewy Sugar Cookies
these are excellent! im not the hugest sugar cookie fan, but i enjoyed these greatly. i took them into work and everyone raved about them!
on a side note, the first time i baked them, i used a flour that was a mixture of wheat and white (it was the only thing in my mothers house). both my parents enjoyed the cookies with this flour, but i was personally not a fan...too much wheat flavor, which in my opinion doesnt mesh well with a sugar cookie concept. and besides, the wheat doesnt REALLY make it any healthier when youre rolling the cookie around in sugar!
the second time i made them, and when i brought them into work, i made them exactly as the recipe stated, with white flour. i enjoyed these much better because they lacked the wheat flavor.
so if you dont mind the wheat flavor, the recipe still turns our with mixed flour.
