Potato and Egg Casserole

This is quite good though really heavy (obviously, smile). I actually prefer it at room temperature because then I can taste the tanginess of the sour cream more. Since I am veggie I did not try it with kielbasa, but some kind of spicy soy meat might spice it up a bit...I did add freshly ground pepper to the top which helped, but even more kick might be good.

Polly Welby's Excellent Chocolate Mousse

Tastes great (of course--how can you really go wrong with chocolate and fat?) but the visual appeal is somewhat lacking. It looks like a really fast, shortcut recipe, which, ultimately, it is. Not something I would necessarily want to serve guests, but it is a perfectly speedy satisfy-my-guilty-choco-cravings-alone dessert.

Walnut Pumpkin Pie

Made this for Thanksgiving and the fam loved it--it disappeared before I could have a second slice so I am making it again. The crunchiness adds a nice textural twist from the normal pumpkin consistency and I dig everything with a graham cracker crust...yum.
