I am a proud Navy wife who loves to bake and cook! I love to bake... mostly because I love to eat the sweets but I think I love cooking a little more. I love elaborate and detailed meals for when we have people over but stick to the more simple things on weeknights because I usually don't know when my husband will be home from work... I come from a family where we always had fresh baked cookies in the house and that has a lot to do with my love for baking cookies and my ability. I believe everytime I have people over and everything is cooked well and tastes good is a triumph. And even if it's just my husband tasting it, if I get a rave review I'm always happy. And I am always surprised and proud when my husband says I made something a little better than his mom... I haven't had any so far... nothing has caught on fire or burned so I'm lucky... better find some wood to knock on...
