Brunch Strata

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
Thanks for the great recipe! you were right - everyone asked for the recipe!! I made it for a brunch baby shower. Only changes I made were that I only used 1 tbsp of oil for sauteeing the veggies, used red pepper instead of green, used old/sharp cheddar, more black pepper and I halved the recipe to make just one casserole dish. Excellent!

One Egg Lemon Pound Cake

Reviewed: May 1, 2009
Just made this and it came out wonderfully! I added the zest of one lemon, and 1/2 tsp more of the lemon extract, but the lemon flavour is still quite subtle. I'd add more next time. Also, would be great with some dried cranberries, or poppyseeds added to the batter. Mine turned out more cake-like than a dense pound cake. Great easy recipe!

Gramma's Date Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
This is a fabulous recipe! Exactly what I was looking for. The squares set nicely and held together. As per some reviews, I packed down the crust very well and baked the crust for 6 mins - while the dates were cooking. I also didn't add the sugar to the dates because the dates I bought were "honey dates" and quite sweet as they are. I packed down the topping, too, the best I could, and the result was great!

Hungarian Goulash II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
I LOVE this recipe! I've made it many times and always get compliments. The best part is that it is so easy, and uses ingredients that you have on hand. I follow the recipe to a "T" and always have lots of great sauce to serve over the egg noodles. Thanks for the recipe!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
This recipe is a keeper! i've made it several times (with both frozen and fresh berries) and people always rave about it. It's like a big delicious moist blueberry muffin! The batter is quite thick and I find it hard to 'swirl' the struessel layer in the middle, so I just sprinkle it on and add the rest of the batter. I find it takes longer than the recipe states to cook through.
