About this Cook
Wife and mom to 1.5 kids.
My favorite things to cook
Pastas, casseroles, soups, chicken dishes, mexican, indian, thai, italian, chinese, japanese, and baking, and desserts
My favorite family cooking traditions
None! Mum is scottish and food was extremely boring growing up! Boring but good. I guess making homemade food is a tradition. I never had pre-made anything growing up and now I can't stand frozen/packaged foods.
My cooking triumphs
Becoming more adventurous. When I started cooking, I had never tasted asparagus, rosemary, or curry, etc. I love to try new foods and dishes. I love cooking something that turns out better than I think I would find at a restaurant.
My cooking tragedies
I've been pretty successful so far. I'm always worried about a dish and it usually turns out much better than I thought it would. I'm a perfectionist though.

Mama's Italian Wedding Soup
Yummy! Had to use beef stock because I didn't have chicken, used orzo, and pre-cooked the meatballs in the oven for 15 min.
