I am a bookkeeper and I also have a portrait photography business. I LOVE collecting recipes and I love trying new ones! I am a little bit picky though and my husband is even pickier than I am, so sometimes new recipes have to be modified for us!

Chicken, mashed potatoes, pasta, turkey burgers, etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
"big breakfasts" on Saturday mornings - gravy, biscuits, hashbrowns, bacon, eggs, sausage.... Thanksgiving with all the fixin's :)
My cooking triumphs
Cooking my first turkey this year! Managing to make turkey gravy just like my mom used to... and making my mom's sugar cookies :)
My cooking tragedies
Burning my mom's sugar cookies LOL.... (that was the first attempt!) Burnt biscuits too many times to count!

Venison Stew II
I made this yesterday and it was awesome! I did make a couple of changes though... I omitted the onion and used onion juice instead. And I only used half the amount of onion that was listed in the recipe. Also, I used carrots instead of parsnips. We thought it was really good... I served it with cornbread. Great recipe!!
