I am a professional Musician, who works in the marketing field. I enjoy teaching Marching Band, and Drum and Bugle Corps, but my secret passion is really cooking. I love cooking for my friends and family. I am also a wine enthusiast. The dryer the red wine, the better! I am very adventurous. Rarely do I use a recipe. Normally I will see something that I like and think about how I can put my own twist on that recipe. I tend to spend hours in prep and cooking, so Iron Chef would not be for me, however I can put together a pretty slammin' meal in a hurry if necessary. Some of my family background is German/Pennsylvania Dutch. So there are a lot of comfort foods that I am adept at preparing, however I tend to stray more towards Gourmet. My mother really taught me about everything I know about cooking, and what she didn't teach, I learned through trial and error My version of Chicken Saltimbocca is incredible. I also make an awesome Seared Scallops with a Brown Tarragon Butter, served over Wild Mushroom Risotto with Brazed Asparagus. Really my worst was probably when I first started cooking in college and had some baking issues. Nothing to crazy though.
