About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Green vegetables for sure- asparagus and spinach to be exact. I LOVE trying them in new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Anything Italian... especially Italian cookies.
My cooking triumphs
August 2009- In the heat of the moment- whipped up a really yummy flaky pot pie with leftover steak cooked on charcoal. The crust was awesome even though I had to improvise a little on the Crisco and vinegar!

Apple Sticky Buns
This recipe was an impulse for me... after inverting the buns, I knew it was a keeper... I think that the dough could tolerate more apple. I used 2 cups cause I wasn't brave enough to do more. I was disappointed in the lack of apple flavor- but that could have been the McIntosh apples that I used. Otherwise- wow is this amazing!! Not too sweet though which I really liked. A hit with everyone. Alright- tried the recipe again with a few mods that seem to impact it to the positive side. I added a MIN of 2 cups apples to the batter... and REALLY diced them. I added diced apples to the topping mixture with the nuts (about 1 cup), and made sure that when I dispensed the dough into the pan, the balls were walnut size. Awesome!

Cream Cheese Blueberry Pie
I doubled the cream cheese filling- I also really overheated the blueberry filling, but it still came out wonderful!! This recipe is simple and produces a wonderful pie- everyone loved it!!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits
Very very very good- really around a 4.75. I added some crushed garlic to the batter and some extra cheddar (about 1/4 cup) which worked out well. I would add more cheese next time (I am a cheese addict!!)
