About this Cook
Very beginning level cook who is sorely tempted by just about every recipe here, but finding it difficult to jump in since I'm cooking for one.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, pasta...and anything warm and filling for breakfast.

Indian-Style Rice with Cashews, Raisins and Turmeric
Pretty tasty. But it's missing something. The flavor, honestly, is a bit bland, except when you bit into a raisin. I think I'll try the onion/garlic suggestion next time. BTW, this recipe makes A LOT so be sure you adjust for the size of the crowd you're feeding.

Best Chicken Pasta Salad
I always make the recipe, first, as it is presented. This time, I only omitted the 'shrooms because I just don't like any kind of mushroom. Anyway, it was a little bland. Perhaps go heavier on the dressing...I like the idea of adding artichoke hearts...didn't really notice the bouillon making much of a difference. I'd try this a gain with some tweaks.

Gunline Coffee
I've tried this with sugar and with Splenda. Like 'em both. Also, have made a regular and a de-caf batch as well. I drink this now, instead of coffee, all the time. I've always been a mocha fan, but the addition of the cinnamon and nutmeg makes for a unique drink. Brew a batch today!
