Chicken and Broccoli Braid

This is an impressive looking dish, but it's much easier than it looks! It tastes great, too. My bunco group loved it. I'm going to try it with different kinds of filling. What a great idea!

Marshmallow Icing

My boyfriend had requested marshmallow for his birthday cake, and when he tasted this, he said, "vanilla". If you're looking for marshmallow frosting, just leave out or cut back the vanilla and it should be perfect. Other than that, this is a really great recipe, and I thought it was fun to make. You could definitely experiment with the flavoring, too.

Spinach-Stuffed Steak

Once it was uncovered, the meat on top dried out while the bottom was still not cooked. This smelled so good while it was cooking, but when it was done it had hardly any flavor. The spinach stuff was good except for the soggy bread crumbs in it. I like the idea, so I'll definitely try it again with a lot more seasoning, omitting the bread crumbs, and keeping it covered for the entire cooking time.

Sweet Pasta Salad

Pretty good. I halved the vinegar, sweetened condensed milk, and mayonnaise. I left out the white sugar completely. It was still very sweet. I added a little cheddar cheese and some chopped black olives.

These are so good! I make these sugar cookies year-round and frost with any kind of store-bought frosting. I like the heart cut-out idea too. They make cute edible Valentines.

Yes yes yes! This is my all-time favorite recipe on this site. This makes a ton of soup, so I always half the recipe. I would double the water so the peas don't burn. I usually serve it with a little bit of hot sauce--any kind I feel like. Thanks, Deborah!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

I just love how fast this is ready! I make pizza all the time now. I just use regular flour. Also, I use a big dollop of molasses instead of white sugar. The molasses gives it a better flavor and color. I think with sugar or honey it ends up tasting like funnel cake, which I don't like.
