About this Cook
I learned how to cook as a rookie firefighter. Once I got the hang of chili and stews (typical firehouse cuisine) I started to venture out....NOW, I'm a SAHM of 2 (soon to be 3!) I cook every meal at home and my husband takes lunch to work. I'm always trying to find something new.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make different kinds of soups and chilis.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother never really cooked for us, so I'm starting a tradition.
My cooking triumphs
The perfect cheesecake.
My cooking tragedies
Anything that requires a roux. I scald them everytime!

Cheddar Zucchini Wedges
I'm hesitant to try recipes with little or no reviews, but this one was a treasure! My family truly enjoyed this wonderful bread.. Only change made was I did not toast the almonds. PERFECT!

Cheddar Zucchini Wedges
This was fantastic! What a great combination of flavors! The only thing I changed was that I did not toast the almonds. I made 2 loaves and they were quickly gobbled up by my family!

Zucchini Yogurt Multigrain Muffins
This was a great recipe! I was out of honey, so I added 3/4 cup of peanut butter (should have only added 1/2 cup)and it was awesome! I'll experiment more with this recipe and maybe add chocolate chips next time. My whole family ate it up!
