About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Primarily Vegetarian (Vegan) with Mediterranean and Asian influences. Stir Frys, One pot meals.
My cooking triumphs
It is not the meat I miss, it's the savory flavors. I started creating vegan meals that have the same "home cooked" flavors as the traditional meat dishes I grew up with. Getting my Mother, a die hard meat and potatoes gal to try one my Vegan dishes and she gives it a "thumbs up"!
My cooking tragedies
I never prepared a steak... ever!

Microwave Peanut Brittle
So easy and delicious. It tastes like old fashioned peanut brittle.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet
I use this recipe every time I make pasta. I add a pinch of red pepper flakes when sauteing the onions for a little heat. The white wine makes such a difference! If you prepare the sauce first, then while it is simmering start heating the pasta water and by the time you finish cooking the pasta according to directions, it is done. This recipe is very easy to follow. The taste and cost effectiveness will get you off jarred sauce for good.
