Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Delicious! I baked for exactly 8 minutes and got a very soft, chewy texture. The dough was pretty tacky for me to work with so I put it in the fridge for about 10 minutes and in between batches. That firmed it up so it was much easier to roll into balls. Overall, it produced a yummy cookie! Thanks.

Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies

These were good. I wished there would have been a stronger ginger-bread flavor. If that is what you are looking for, I would add more spices. You also don't need the full package of butterscotch morsels. 1/2 is plenty. Overall though, good recipe.

Impossibly Easy Taco Pie

Pretty good. My family all loved it. It was quick and easy. I used the Taco Seasoning 1 from this site. It is great and eliminates some of the sodium. Anyway I will most likely make again.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

This was yummy! I will make it again for sure. For me, it did need a little something to give it a bit of a zing but overall really great! I did use red potatoes. Their starch content is better for potato salad than a russet. It holds together better and has a better texture. I also used green onions. Overall really tasty. Thanks for the recipe!

Pleasant Pork Chops

Well this was pretty darn good. It was worth the quick trip to the store for sour cream. I will make it again. For me, it did seem like there was something missing. I can't quite put my finger on it...maybe it just needed a bit more kick but overall it was good. Thanks for the recipe.

Delicious! Great flavor! Perfect amount of spices! I only cooked my for 8 minutes and they stayed perfectly chewy! I also didn't have butter flavored shortening so I used 1/2 C of regular shortening and 1/2 cup of butter. Great recipe! Thanks!!

Best Spanish Rice

This recipe was really easy and had great flavor! The only problem we had was the rice didn't seem quite done. Next time I will add more liquid and let it cook longer. Other than that it was great! I will definatly use again!

Tortillas II

Great recipe! This was the first time I made tortillas and I loved them! So much better than store bought tortillas. I did have to use more water than the recipe called for. I don't know if this is an altitude thing since I live in a pretty high altitude but I used about 1/4 cup more hot water. I also used 2 TBL shortening instead of 1. It made 10 tortillas for me. I think the trick is rolling them very very very thin. That way you will get more out of the recipe. Thanks!

Zucchini Herb Casserole

This wasn't too bad although it was a bit bland. We added some jalapeno ranch dressing and that helped. I will make this again but probably as a side dish rather than the main dish. My family all really liked it though.

These were really yummy! They cooked super fast so you have to watch them the whole time. Both my girls loved them! We did powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar as toppings. Worked great! Thanks for the recipe!

Green Bean Fries

These were pretty good but a bit on the bland side. Next time I make them I will most likely kick the spices up a notch. Everybody enjoyed them though...there was just something missing. It was a fun way to use the leftover green beans from my garden that I didn't can. We dipped these in a jalapeno ranch dressing made my Lighthouse and that was yummy.

Beef Stew VI

This was pretty good. I had to keep adding water though because it would simmer out. By the time we ate it, it was pretty salty so next time I will cut back on the boulion. I also used leftoever roast that I shredded instead of stewing meat. Overall it was good. Will use again.

Strawberry Freezer Jam

Yup great recipe. I used this too and noticed it is also the recipe from the box. For my second batch I used the pectin that calls for less sugar. It is 3 C of sugar to 4 cups of crushed strawberries. I like that one better because it is a little less sweet. If you try that, you have to have the pectin that is designed to use less sugar though.

Cinnamon Honey Butter

Delicious! I used it on my homemade rolls and it was a huge hit for Sunday dinner. The next morning we used it on pancakes. It made my pancakes a little sweeter than I normally have them but still really yummy. Thanks for the recipe!

Frosted Banana Bars

These were excellent! I loved them!! So moist and delicious! Plus, it made a whole pan of delicious treats rather than just a loaf of bread! I cheated and used store bought cream cheese frosting and while it was still good, I know that a home made version will be much better. I also chopped up some nuts and sprinkled them on top of the frosting. DELCIOUS!! I will make these again and again! Thanks for the recipe!
