About this Cook
My husband and I have four children at home, and two that live elsewhere. I am a stay at home mommy, and I think I have less time now than I did when I was working two jobs! I like scrapbooking and playing the piano, and I like playing in the snow and splashing in rain puddles:)
My favorite things to cook
desserts ... all of my teeth are my "sweet tooth"
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chop Suey and Broccoli Cheese Soup
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made Chop Suey, my dad told my mommy it was the best she had done yet:)
My cooking tragedies
In like ninth grade, my mommy needed to go out for the afternoon and asked me to make the pizza for her. Well ... she told me all the ingredients were on the counter already, and when I got to the part that said cornmeal, I got what was labeled and I thought to be cornmeal. It was metamucil. Orange metamucil. I cannot go to a family event without it coming up!

Pumpkin Cream Pie
Amazing! This is a really great alternative to a traditional pumpkin pie. I have not had any problems with it getting too sloppy, and I just make sure it is in the fridge for overnight before serving.

Honey-Garlic Glazed Meatballs
I love this as do most of my children, but my husband forbids me to make it when he's home. I think he's nuts because it is one of my favorite recipes!

Herb Roasted Pork
It is rare that my family of five can all agree on something, but we all LOVED this dish. I doubled the dry ingredients and garlic, used foil to make a tent during the first two hours of cooking, and cut slices to add minced garlic inside it.
