About this Cook
I grew up in New England with a Grandfather who was an excellent cook. He could go into a restaurant, eat a meal, then go home and dupicate it exactly. I learned a lot from him before he passed away. I've lived in the South for 30 years now and have grown quite fond of Southern style dishes but I still love to cook those northern favorites!
My favorite things to cook
I especially love to bake. Whenever there's a party I'm always the one asked to bring the dessert!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have lots of family favorites. If my sons are coming for dinner, it's always a special treat when I prepare New England Clam Chowder and Clam Cakes - they LOVE it!! Christmas is never complete without my mother's Maids of Honor and my father's special Walnut Cream Candies.
My cooking triumphs
For a number of years I supplied my friends and neighbors with delectable cheesecakes through my home-based business. The most popular flavors were Kahlua Creme and Sunshine Lemon.
My cooking tragedies
The year that my first grandchild was born, Thanksgiving dinner was at my house. I was so busy playing with her that I overcooked the turkey and it was as dry as it could be. Luckily I have a very understanding family and we made do with what was left. That was very embarrassing!!

Super Squash
Wonderful recipe! I made this for Easter dinner and everyone loved it.... even those who said they didn't like squash! I made 2 small changes... I only used 2 eggs, and I used Ritz crackers instead of saltines. I will definitely use this recipe again.
