About this Cook
Hello everyone. I am a novice cook, yet I love to try to create my own recipes. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I also enjoy trying the recipes I find here on AllRecipes.
My favorite things to cook
I like to make meat loaf. So far, my husband says I haven't made a bad one! I also like to make pasta dishes. That's always a favorite at our house.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up, my family enjoyed chili and oyster stew on Christmas Eve. This year, we are adding cheese soup to our Christmas meal, so I will be looking for cheese soup recipes to add to our tradition.
My cooking triumphs
My no-fail chicken and noodles. Even my picky son-in-law loves it.
My cooking tragedies
Don't ask! LOL

Broiled Herb Butter Chicken
I have been looking for recipes that I could use pure olive oil instead of butter. My husband is trying the Mediterranean Diet, so I've been looking for ways to cut the butter out AND still having a favorful meal. What I changed: used 1/4 cup olive oil instead of butter. I didn't have boneless chicken breast so the bake time increased. I also covered pan with foil. I think that really help keep the chicken moist. Thank you very much for this recipe!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'
I don't know what I did wrong. I know this recipe is a good one. Just wished it would have turned out as well as the reviews say. I will try again, with hopes of a better results.

Pumpkin Pie Bars
Great recipe. I followed another cook's suggestion using the evaporated milk and used 2- 15 oz cans of pumkin. Increase baking time. These were a very big hit at work and at home! Thank you.
