I don't watch TV. Only DVD's, YouTube, or iTunes. Most of my recipes come fron the internet. I rarely buy a cook book but if I buy one it has to be gourmet, glossy with lots of photos and clear step by step instruction.
My cooking triumphs
I can cook food Asian/Middle Eastern food without measuring, but I don't find it possible with European/American food. No matter how many times I made E/A dish, I have to have the recipe.
My cooking tragedies
Ahhh...it started with Betty Crocker...then several baking attempts from scratch that ended up in the trash. After living in Africa where I cannot buy cake mix, pudding mix, etc., I am happy to say that the lack of prepackaged stuff really helps me improve as a cook/baker. Now I know exactly what goes in my mouth from my cooking/baking. :D
