An engineer turned housewife who doesn't need to cook but does so because I love to. As a kid, I always thought I would be a horrible cook, and I had no interest at all in cooking or food, for that matter. My husband however, loves food and he introduced me to a whole new world of taste and flavor - and I started cooking. I am still a newbie. I can't cook rice properly but I love cooking! Cakes and quick breads. I haven't tried breads with yeast yet. Indian curries - especially the humble Dal. Pasta. And soups..... so far! Yesterday, I made a scruptious cake - which is by far, my best. A simple vanilla - coffee marbled cake. Oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so many!! Like my try with 'Masala Idli'. My dad was furious for days after eating it :-P
