I am in my early 40's, have an amazing husband and two beautiful daughters. I am a stay at home mom, and if that doesn't keep me busy enough, I am very active in our church and our daughters school. One of my ministries at church is arranging meals for new moms, grieving families, and others that are unable to cook for themselves. I am on the school board, am a room mom and a member of the PTA. My most favorite thing(s) to cook are things I just kind of make up. A lot of my best work has been made from things left in the cupboards before shopping day. Other than that, I enjoy decorating cakes, making trifles, and appetizers. My realization that I needed to learn to cook came about when I realized how much I enjoyed eating. I don't really have family traditions, other than the ones I have married into. My mother-in-law makes the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner every year, and my husband would not change a thing on that menu. So, I guess I will learn the recipes and pass them onto our girls. Along with that, I would love to start some traditions of my own.
