About this Cook
I definitely have a sweet tooth and love making lots of cookies to have around the house for whenever I want a snack. Because of that, I make sure to make them as healthy as possible with oatmeal and applesauce ingredients!
My favorite things to cook
1. My husband and I make a really good spaghetti using ground turkey instead of beef - It is always delicious! 2. My variation on Italian Wedding Soup, which we call Irish Wedding Soup. 3. I love making cookies of all kinds - I'm always trying something new!
My favorite family cooking traditions
The family tradition that I am in charge of is making the Green Bean Casserole for the holidays. I use the standard recipe, but use half a can of roasted garlic cream of mushroom soup and I also add a couple dashes of white pepper for spiciness. The whole family always loves this at Thanksgiving and Christmas time!
My cooking triumphs
I like to try and make things from what I have around the house - sometimes it doesn't work out, but sometimes it's fantastic!
My cooking tragedies
I definitely have had problems with undercooking baked goods if I use a different pan than recommended! I had a whole cake sink and fall apart as I was taking it out, and I've had pumpkin bread that was still batter in the middle! I am learning how to use better judgment when it comes to temperatures and times.

Strawberry Lemon Shortcake
Absolutely delicious! I love lemon and strawberries, and so I whipped up this shortcake and it took no time at all. Simple and easy, I would make this again!

Jo Jo's Favorite Banana Muffins
Wow this is amazing! I have made these twice already, and both times have been a huge success. Because I had fairly large bananas, I did not end up using milk, and they turned out sweet and buttery! Thanks for the recipe!

Couscous and Cucumber Salad
Very good! I also added some chopped red, yellow and green pepper to my dish.
