Kahlua White Russian

This is one of my favorite drinks! My friend and I like the original Kahlua with Absolute Vanilla vodka and cream (or milk). Yum!

Brie Cheese Appetizer

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
Delicious and sooo easy -use more preserves than called for though. I have also used jalepeno jelly (it is green for Christmas!) instead of apricot and it was so incredibly good. It was not hot or spicy -it tasted sweet and paired nicely with the brie.

Chris' Bay Area Burger

We Loved these! I did change it a little bit by using 1 TBS olive oil per 2 lbs meat and added 1 TBS worschestire sauce for 2 lbs of meat. I also used fresh basil leaves, chopped.

Honey-Glazed Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
Yum! I haven't eaten so much chicken in one sitting in a long time! My husband and 3-yr old love it too. I did not have an onion on hand so I used some chives instead. In the middle of baking the chicken I added some corn starch to thicken up the glaze so that it stayed on the chicken instead of running off of it while trying to baste it. I served this over rice. 5 stars for taste and for how easy it is!

Grilled Venison Backstrap

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
Let me just say that I have never eaten so much venison in one sitting! It was the best I have ever eaten. My husband is the one who has been eating venison since he was 2, and he told me that it was the best venison flavoring he has ever had!!! It blew my mind because he is a lover of venison and has had it so often throughout his life. I did use cubed steak instead of the tenderloin because that is what I had in the freezer, and it turned out wonderfully! What a wonderful taste for such a simple recipe!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
Great recipe and easy too! I used my left-over ham from Easter - perfect! I did not have bouillon granules so (guessing) I used 2 bouillon cubes instead. I also used celery flakes instead of diced celery because that is what I had on hand. It is a wonderful recipe. Thanks so much for it!

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
This recipe not only gets 5 stars for the fantastic taste, but also for the ease of it. I will be sharing this recipe with everyone! Thank you for my favorite new pork tenderloin recipe! For people who like more gravy - double the wine/gravy mixture. I served it over mashed potatoes with the main dish. The only change I made was that I used minced garlic instead of garlic powder. My family loved it!

Brunch Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
This was really good, but not the best cheesy potato casserole I have had. I made it for a brunch and it went well. It tasted a little too 'mayo-y' for me. I did use real shredded cheese instead of processed, reduced fat mayo, and turkey bacon to help reduce some of the calories. It did take longer than a 30 -minute prep for me by the time I skinned the potatoes and cubed them and got the bacon cooked and everything put together.

Mozzarella Chicken

Loved this! I passed along the recipe to my sister too and it was a hit in her family. For all of you omitting the wine in the recipe you are missing out - the sauce really makes this recipe what it is! If you want a healthier version of this use less margarine and low fat cheese - do not omit the wine or garlic!

Chicken Enchilada Soup III

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
Loved this soup, and it is so easy to make! I made tortilla strips to garnish it by cutting up corn tortillas into strips and frying them (letting them dry on paper towels). I made a double batch of it for a party where someone else made a pot of soup as well. My pot of soup was almost gone while hers was still full at the end of the party! It was a hit!
