Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
These are delicious! I followed the advice of some reviewers and used warm water but followed the recipe exactly. I think one key thing to do is roll the tortilla very thin in order to avoid a flat bread type result. Thanks for sharing the recipe, LaDonna.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
This pot pie was delicious. I did follow the advice of other reviewers and made the following modificatons with excellent results: 2 cans soup, 1/2 cup milk, one cooked potato, 1/2 onion, pepper, garlic powder, and celery salt. I did use frozen mixed vegetables because that's all I had. I'm looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!

Spicy Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
As other reviewers shared, I cut back on the thyme, and the thyme still tasted too strong for me! I'll probably cut it down to 1/4 TBS next time. Everything else I did exactly as written. I will be making this again and look forward to trying the rub on other meats.

Fruity Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
Excellent! I did follow the advice of other reviewers (thanks by the way) and used orange juice for the liquid in the couscous. I used 1/4 cup additional orange juice so the couscous wouldn't be dry, which was perfect. I also reduced the cumin to 1/2 tsp. and added 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. My husband and I both loved this and are looking forward to leftovers tomorrow.

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
This salsa is delicious and easy to prepare. I followed the advice of other reviewers and didn't use five hablano peppers. I used two jalapeno peppers; one with seeds, the other seeded, and it's just right for my husband and me. I used a red onion because I like the taste of them in salsa. This salsa turns out as good as the salsa you get in Mexican restaurants. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Sweet Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
These are DELICIOUS! I have made them following the recipe exactly and made them with the change others recommended, which is using half white sugar and half brown sugar. I think the pecans turn out better with the sugar mixture: half white, half brown. I also use vanilla extract in place of the water. For easy clean up, I place aluminum foil on the cookie sheet, spray it with PAM and after baking throw it away. Easy and delicious.....my kind of recipe!

Olive Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
This is delicious! The only change I made was using chicken broth for all the liquid. I used four Roma tomatoes and it turned out wonderful. The different flavors were fabulous together.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
The cookies are awesome. With the exception of using butterscotch chips, I followed the recipe exactly. They turned out exactly as described...crunchy on the outside; chewy on the inside. I used a thermal cookie sheet and cooked them for 13 min. EXCELLENT recipe!
