Glazed Apple Cookies
a real winner - easy enough to make, and it's a treat to have fresh fruit in a cookie. icing is super-sweet, so you might consider saving a few without frosting, for those less inclined to sugary things.

Abernathy Biscuits
Good, very lightly sweet cookies that are great with a cup of tea. My yield was more like 8-1/2 dozen, though, so be prepared for a lot of rolling and cutting - and sharing!

Cinnamon Cookies II
These fabulous cookies are simple, elegant, impressive and addictive. Try using Vietnamese cinnamon (I got some from Bakers' Catalog) for bright, strong cinammon flavor.
