I am a mother of 2 of my own, and helping my husband raise 2 of his as well. I am a full-time student. I love cooking and baking, and I do it every chance I get. I love baking. Desserts are my favorite, but fudges seem to be what I'm best at. I also love making soups and things in the slow cooker. Nothing's better than coming home and not having to do anything but set the table and eat. I want to learn lots more on pie baking. I haven't baked that many varieties yet. It's become tradition that whatever gathering we go to, I bring the mashed potatoes and gravy. I usually don't have to worry about bringing any home. :) Fudge...chocolate, peanut butter, maple, peppermint...I love making them and have gotten to the point where they always turn out. My lasagna and my creamy baked potato soup are also big hits as well. A green cake when I was 12. I made icing instead of frosting and it absorbed all of it into the cake, which was tinted green. Very moist cake, but not very attractive! I made a lemon meringue pie for Thanksgiving this year and it was all separated and runny. My meringue turned out great, the rest...not so much!
