About this Cook
I've been married about a year and a half, and after graduating college, I realized I was great at baking, but that my cooking needed work, especially with a husband to feed. I spent a year in Japan, and while there, I learned a lot about Japanese cooking - both taste and method. I love cooking and enjoy good basic recipes I can modify to fit my tastes.
My favorite things to cook
Japanese food: tonkatsu, tempura, sushi, kabocha...basically everything. I also love baking.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken
I added a bit of Tequila to the pan and was lighter with the garlic sprinkling at the end, like another poster suggested. I'm not sure if it was necessary, but the result was wonderful! I served with the campfire greenbean recipe (on this site) and cous cous.

Campfire Green Beans
Prepared them at home over the stove with fresh green beans and they were fantastic!

Sushi Roll
I used this recipe only for the rice of my sushi rolls. I thought the vinegar was way too strong, and there was also a bit too much sugar. I had to make a second batch of plain rice to mix with the sushi rice to dull the taste a bit. Of course, I'm used to sushi from Japan, which is a bit more mild than American sushi.
