My names Chris but everyone calls me Lucy. I was a Military child so i never really grew up in one place. I think this had the greatest influence on my cooking because i'm not really nitched into a locational taste. I live in Japan now but, I plan on going to Germany in a year to go to school.
My favorite things to cook
Really my favorite things to cook are the simplest. I love to make blackond tuna stakes and rice pilaf. But i think my favorite thing is any thing italian that is sauce based, simply because of the freedom involved in seasoning a sauce.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, even though i'm from all over, i'm still mexican so there are a few things that a staples of my diet. The most important would have to be green chili. My family has passed the recipe down for generations and its my only recipe you'll never see on this site.
My cooking triumphs
I have many. Just about everytime i cook some thing i always seem to be missing one ingredient and have to make due. The triumph comes from the new redesigned recipe i create on ocasions from my having to make due.
My cooking tragedies
Two days ago I was searing some stakes in my skillit when the fan above my stove died. I had just dropped in one when it happened and my apparment was filled with smoke in about 2.3 seconds. I had to kill the heat, move the pan, and try to vent my place. what made this worse was i was late for work in the first place so i couldn't fire up the grill to finish them. i had to toss them out. i was a sad panda.
